Your message for the week

Last week we had the Hope card from the Psychic Tarot pack. This week it’s another favourite oracle pack of mine to use and that is Earth Magic by Steven Farmer. This card is the Dragonfly/ Emergence and this is what it has to tell us.
You are in an intense process of emergence into the next cycle of your life, the next stage of maturity. This requires you to adjust your thinking about yourself, others, and your community. It calls for you to shed yet another layer of your ego-filled defenses and let go of any illusions of being less than who you are.
This period of emergence, may appear to be quite sudden, unlike gradual changes that you have experienced before, but don’t worry you have all the skills you need to take this head on. This change is one of broadened consciousness and heightened perceptual capacities; and since it is inevitable, it is best to surrender to the flow and allow yourself to gracefully move into the next cycle of your life.
I also like to think of this in a much more literal way. I like to think that this card popped out this morning because we (in the northern hemisphere) are Emerging from the winter chills. Much like the bulbs, plants and animals which are also stretching after the long winter months. Word of warning though, whilst the sun is shinning higher in the sky, frost and snow can still be round the corner. So, take it slowly, let your wings dry before you start to fly!
An oldie but a goodie
As I was aimlessly scrolling through Instagram (I think that’s what everyone does, no one scroll through intentionally do they?) last week I came across a post from @wildwomansisterhoodofficial about Women Who Run with the Wolves. It’s a book that I’ve always wanted to read but never got round to it.
The version I have is the same as the one on the right, and as soon as I saw that the fabulous – and sadly no longer with us – Maya Angelou said that “Everyone who can read should read this book.” I was hooked.
If you don’t know the book – this year celebrating it’s 31st anniversary – it’s by the Jungian analyst, author and poet Clarissa Pinkola Estés. The book touches on all aspects of womanhood through various stories, and this is what Clarissa had to say about the female body and the power women have to effect change;
“A woman cannot make the culture more aware by saying ‘Change’. But she can change her own attitudes towards herself. She does this by taking back her body. By not forsaking the joy of her actual body, by not purchasing the popular illusion that happiness is only bestowed on those of a certain configuration or age, by not waiting of holding back to do anything, and by taking back her real life, and living it full bore, all stops out. The dynamic self-acceptance and self-esteem are what begins to change attitudes in culture.”

Introducing Ask Sarah

I bring you Ask Sarah!
Ask Sarah is literally what it says; you can ask me anything relating to your Spiritual Life and I will do whatever I can to provide you with an answer that will support you on your journey. The nature of your question might be too in-depth to answer in just one hit, so I’m also launching my personal
1-to-1 sessions at the same time, where we can work on things in a deeper way by introducing spiritual elements!
Head on over to the Ask Sarah page to check it out, I look forward to seeing you there!
How to seal off your energy field
Have you ever been in the company of someone that saps every ounce of your energy? Or have you been in a building or a place that feels just a bit off? That will be down to their or its energy. Well, the following exercise will show you exactly how to seal off your energy and protect yourself from any person, situation or environment.
It’s just so simple, all you need do is visualise yourself encompassed in a gigantic bubble which moves with you, is clear, flexible and – most important – impenetrable. You can power up your bubble by imaging that the top of the bubble is connected to the Universe – or your higher power – so that there is a flow of beautiful cosmic energy entering your bubble.
You can change the colour of the cosmic energy flow; you can fill the space with pink for love, gold for a cosmic link, white for vibe busting, or red for energy. You can also add elements to your bubble. You can add things that make you feel comfortable and that give you power, like a four-legged friend that has passed over. The possibilities are endless.
Once you’ve perfected this, you will put your bubble on the same way you put on a coat to go outside or pop up an umbrella to shelter from the rain. The key is that you are protecting your energy field with this shield.

New Moon

The February 2023 New Moon will be called the New Worm Moon because it is the start of the March Full Moon lunar cycle. Depending on the year the name will change. The name is fitting for the season because while it’s part of winter, we’re getting closer to spring.
The New Moon is an ideal time to set intentions and goals that you’ll develop as the moon waxes towards its opposite Full Moon. Connecting to these lunar energies can provide grounding and a sense of direction. It’s also a good time to align your mind and body, and what better way to do this then meditation.
Also be aware that the New Moon can affect your energy, so you might feel a little sluggish around this time. It can also effect your blood pressure which may also be low. To counteract this eat light meals which are plant-based to take the pressure off of your digestive system. A massage might help to recharge those batteries!
Have a wonderful week.
Until next time…
